The Virgin Festival has been postponed to 2009 but there is good news: Maroon 5, OneRepublic, Goldfish and The Parlotones are still performing here in December as a curtain-raiser to the festival. “The changes have been made to ensure an even hotter line-up. Some of the bands South Africans kept asking for were simply not available at that time of the year,” Virgin Mobile CEO Peter Boyd says.
Current ticket-holders have three options:
- Hold onto tickets for the Virgin Festival in 2009 as they’ll be valid.
- Receive a full refund from Computicket.
- Attend the curtain-raiser. You’ll be entitled to a partial refund of the original ticket price. For more info visit www.thevirginfest.co.za.

American country pop singer Taylor Swift’s new single off her second album, Fearless, has hit the No 1 spot on iTunes less than a month after its release. This girl has a great voice and like Carrie Underwood she proves country music is about more than old men in cowboy hats.
