If names such as Bill Haley & The Comets, Little Richard, Roy Orbison and Fats Domino mean anything to you you’ll love this three-disc compilation of 60 golden oldies by early big-name rockers. The songs might be cheesy classics from a bygone era but their old-school rock will put you in a nostalgic mood.

On her fifth studio album Brandy sticks to what she knows best: making exceptional R&B. She worked with friend and producer Rodney Jerkins and added a bit more flavour and contemporary beats and it works beautifully. It’s well rounded and has a few chart-climbing hits. Good tracks include Right Here, Piano Man and The Definition. Fans will love it.

After the back-to-back success of their first two albums British rock band Keane have created a third album that’s melodic, thoughtful, gutsy and loud when it needs to be. Their music crosses genres and will delight fans of pop and rock. The single Spiralling was voted Best Track of 2008 by British music magazine Q and pop fans will be hooked after one listen. A fun album packed with future hits.

- Jennifer Hudson winning her first Grammy Award. The 27-year-old received four nominations and her self-titled album won Best R&B Album.
