Madonna’s third greatest-hits album is also the best compilation album of her mighty hit collection. Buy the deluxe edition (34 of her No 1 hits) rather than the standard edition, which has only 18 tracks. Both albums have only two new songs: Celebration, a vibey dance track in collaboration with Paul Oakenfold, and the so-so Revolver (with Lil Wayne).

The US rapper has roped in big names such as Akon and Lil Jon to collaborate on his fourth album, a catchy blend of 14 hip-hop-electro tracks. You’ve probably heard the second single, I Know You Want Me, which hit No 2 on the Billboard Hot 100 and launched the equally bouncy Krazy to hit status. If you like the genre you’ll find it’s perfect music for a party.
